Opening the fridge Dea sighed, this was not her day. Everything was turning out wrong and it just seemed to be getting worse by the hour. Her coffee had burned that morning, her cell phone didn’t have reception for 5 minutes of her commute and now after a long day of shifting thorough useless paperwork all she wanted was to watch some TV. Of course the cable was out, there was a wreck at the junction box when she turned in at the top of her road and she assumed it had caused the problem. Things at least seemed to be getting better when she noticed there was just enough for one glass of juice left in the carton.
“FUCK” she growled the glass was still warm from the steam dishwasher she had just purchased and the cold juice had caused it to shatter in her hand. She grabbed the closest towel she could and tried to use it to stop the flow of blood from her palm and wrist. She only realized that she had grabbed one of her white designer hand towels as they became permanently stained by thick red patterns. The string of expletives she let out would have made any sailor cringe; this day really did just seem to get worse and worse. A loud buzzing noise filled the apartment and Dea angrily jerked the front door open to see the lady that shared a wall with her in these crappy town homes.
