Katie sat in her office cubicle staring at her monitor. It was late on a Friday afternoon and she was almost finished with the graphics she’d been working on. She pondered staying late and finishing or going home to another boring night of TV. Maybe she should call Freddie, her sometimes friend with sometimes benefits and invite him over for wine and sex. She glanced at her phone just as her best friend Bibi rushed in and sat down.
“Have you seen the new IT guy they just hired? He’s an absolute hunk.”
Katie laughed and shook her head. “I’ve been too busy.”
Bibi sighed and brushed back a strand of her curly brunette hair. “If I weren’t such a dyke, I’d be all over him in a second. He’s gorgeous.” She leaned forward conspiratorially, “His name is Brad and you can see him tonight. A bunch of us are going to Le Bistro for Happy Hour and you’re coming with me.”
Always self-conscious about her chubby figure, Katie hesitated. “I don’t know.”
“Come on. You know Mizz Iron Pants will be there and we can watch her slither around and see how the new guy reacts.”
Katie giggled at the mention of the mean spirited marketing manager. She was a failed but still attractive cougar on the hunt, competent at her job, though utterly ruthless. Everyone disliked her for her sarcastic and hateful remarks and because she always took credit for their work. She would stop at nothing to further her career. Fortunately, neither Katie nor Bibi reported to her.
“I guess I could go for one drink.”
Bibi smacked her hands together and stood up. “Wonderful! I’ll see you in a little while.”

Le Bistro was busy, but not yet packed with the usual end of week corporate drones as Katie and Bibi made their way toward the familiar crowd at the bar. Bibi squeezed Katie’s arm. “There he is.”
Katie almost stopped in her tracks and her heart skipped as a warm tingle washed over her. The man at the center of attention was striking under any circumstances. He was tall, tanned, and with a touch of prematurely grey hair at his temples that accentuated his black hair.
Bibi raised her voice. “Hi, peoples.”
He turned to look at the new arrivals. He had the biggest, bluest eyes Katie had ever seen.
Bibi marched straight for him and held out her hand. “Hi. You must be the new IT manager. I’m Bibi. I work in accounting.”
Brad smiled in return. “Yes. I’m Brad Winslow.” He turned his attention toward Katie and looked her up and down with that appraising look she’d come to recognize, but his smile grew broad and his blue eyes twinkled. He held out his hand to her. “And you are?”
Katie took his hand and a jolt coursed through her like electricity. They locked eyes for a moment until she managed to choke out, “I’m Katie” and withdrew her hand.
Bibi interjected. “She actually works in your department helping design the graphics for the software.”
Brad returned his gaze to Katie. “Really? We’ll have to get together and talk about your graphics. I’ve seen your work.”
Katie dropped her eyes and flushed crimson. “Oh, I just try to do good design.” The heat spread down her chest and into her abdomen where it sat like a smoldering ember. “I’d like…”
“Hello, everyone. I’m here now.” Angela’s voice preceded her through the crowd as she elbowed her way up to them, greeting other co-workers as she approached. “Hey, Tom. Hi, Eve, how’s it going?”
She stopped up to Brad. “You remember me from the meeting this morning, don’t you?”
Brad’s smile faded and he nodded. “Oh, yes. I remember.”
She turned to the two women. “Nice to see you, Bibi. And Katie. I like that sweater.”
“Thank you.”
“I think it’s so nice they’re getting a bit of style in some of the larger sizes.”
Katie and Bibi stood in shocked silence, unable to speak.
Angela took Brad’s arm and pulled him around. “There are some people here I want you to meet.”
Brad twisted his head around as he was led away and raised his eyebrows as if he didn’t know what to do and then they disappeared into the crowd.
Bibi tugged on Katie’s arm. “Let’s get a drink.”
Anger tears stung the corners of Katie’s eyes. “That bitch!”
“Take deep breaths. You know how she is.”
“Yeah. Tomorrow will be better.”

Two hours later, Katie closed and locked the door to her small apartment then flopped down on the sofa. Food. She needed food. Or a hot bubble bath and then food. She hadn’t eaten at Le Bistro and was still buzzed from her drinks with Bibi and the others.
She got up and went to the bedroom and took off her office clothes, then headed to the bathroom and started the water for her bath. After she adjusted it to her favorite temperature, she dumped in a couple of round bubble bubbles and climbed in. Bliss. Hot water relaxed her tired muscles and the scent of the rose bubbles made her smile.
When the tub filled, she lay back and sloshed warm water and bubbles over her belly and large firm breasts. Her sensitive, puffy nipples crinkled instantly and a tiny tingle of pleasure rippled softly down to her pelvis. She sighed and closed her eyes.
Twenty minutes later, the doorbell jangled her awake.
She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her then headed to the front door to peak through the security peephole. Freddie. Short, skinny Freddie with the thin hair and big nose. She had known him since college and they had become occasional fuck buddies since graduation.
She opened the door and smiled. “I was thinking about you today, but this is a surprise.”
Freddie juggled a large pizza box and held up a bottle of wine as he entered. “Wine and pizza for a little celebration.”
She adjusted the towel barely covering her nakedness. “What’s the occasion?”
He moved toward the little kitchen area and placed his offerings on the counter. “I have a new job.” He reached out and tugged playfully at her towel. “I like the towel.”
Katie jerked back and play smacked his hand. “I was taking a bath. I’ll be right back.”
She hurried to the bathroom and rinsed herself in the shower, then donned her big fluffy robe and returned to the living room. “So tell me about the new job.”
Freddie handed her a glass of wine and swallowed a piece of pizza. “I’m moving to the promised land.” He grinned broadly. “Silicon Valley. I’m going to be working on new game designs for Starburst Software.”
Katie felt a twinge of regret. “But that’s in California.”
Freddie gobbled another bite of pizza. “Yep. Moving next week. Lots more money and I’ll be working on really interesting stuff.”
As they ate and drank, he told her more about flying out for the interviews he’d gone through and how excited he was when the HR manager had called him with the final job offer.
She listened to his excited descriptions, but was a little sad to be losing her only fuck buddy. “Oh, that is so cool. I’m happy for you, but I’ll miss you.”
He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close. As his free hand slid inside her robe and cupped her breast, he said, “Aw. I’ll miss you, too.”
He pulled her closer and kissed her, his tongue tickling her lips.
Katie closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss. The feel of his hand stroking her tit sent a rush of excitement through her when the image of Brad Winslow popped into her head and she wondered what his hands would feel like.
She pulled away from the kiss and taking Freddie’s hand, pulled him down the short hall to her bedroom.
Freddie shed his shoes and unbuttoned his jeans along the way. “Hey, slow down.”
Katie pushed him onto the bed and pulled at his clothes, her need growing with the increasing heat in her pussy.
Freddie yanked his jeans off, then tossed the funny plaid boxer shorts he always wore to the side. He pushed the top of her robe open and kissed her hard as his hand slid down her between her legs and massaged her swollen clit.
Katie squirmed against his hand, but then turned and pushed him onto his back and straddled his stomach.
She grinned down at him as she wiggled her butt and scooted lower, rubbing her wet slit down the length of his cock.
Freddie’s eyes widened in pleasure. “Oh, wow.”
Katie rubbed slowly against his cock, trapped between her pussy and his pubic bone as her large breasts swayed with the motion.
Freddie reached up and grabbed both her tits and squeezed then leaned forward and took one of her big puffy nipples into his mouth and sucked it hard.
Katie moaned and closed her eyes then reached down between her legs and guided the tip of his cock to her opening. She paused, and rubbed the head around her clit as the fantasy image of Brad lying beneath her, swam into her mind. She shuddered, then slammed her pelvis down the full length of Freddie’s cock as hard as she could.
Freddie gasped. “Oh, damn.”
She raised her pussy along his cock, then thrust back down again. Panting, her eyes clenched tight, wanting the dream image to become real, she thrust again and again, harder and faster until Freddie groaned and grabbed her butt to pull her tightly to him. “Oh, jeez.”
Her muscles contracted as she reached orgasm and she clenched her legs on the side of his hips as the image in her mind faded away. She leaned forward onto his chest then rolled to the side and lay beside him.
“Babe, that was incredible.”
Sad, and ashamed of what she had felt and done, she merely hugged him. “Uh huh.”

After closing and locking the door, she glanced over to the small dining table and the remains of the pizza and the half empty wine glasses. She sighed. I’m such a cheap fuck. She cleaned up the mess, then satisfied with her bit of tidying up, switched off the lights and headed for bed. She decided she wouldn’t think about Brad at all. She had the rest of the weekend to look forward to, and as she tucked herself into bed, she told herself, Tomorrow will be better.
Monday morning contained the usual corporate chaos. Phone calls and emails and meetings and interruptions. Katie finished the new graphics she’d been working on and smiled. It was good work and she was pleased. She leaned down to pick up her purse to go to lunch when she became aware of someone standing at the door to her cubicle.
“Hello.”
Katie jerked upright in her chair. “Brad.”
He smiled a big smile. “I thought we might have lunch at the Lazy Spoon together. We can talk about some of your design work.”
Katie gulped her nervousness and nodded. “Sure.”
They headed down the hallway, then down the single flight of stairs to the main lobby and out the building. Katie said nothing and suppressed her excitement. He just wants to talk about work. She matched his easy stride for the two block walk to the restaurant.
They ordered matching salads and as they waited for their lunch, they talked. Brad asked her about her design work and then they veered into a conversation about art and artists. Katie was enthusiastic with her praise for an artist named “Banksy.” Brad nodded and agreed with her. All during lunch, the handsome IT manager and the chubby, geeky girl bantered back and forth, their subjects ranging from fantasy art and Dragoncon to favorite TV shows and cooking. They had many of the same likes and dislikes.
Katie glowed. No one had ever shown this much interest in the things that interested her, but she reminded herself that he was probably just being polite. A girl could get lost in those big blue eyes of his. And hurt. She sighed and toyed with the remains of her salad.
“How would you like to go out to dinner Saturday night?”
Katie’s heart jumped and a swarm of butterflies took wing in her stomach. “What?”
